I picked up N.Y.C's Peach Sparkle recently, which is very close, not quite a dupe. I will do a comparison of these two v.soon!
:)
P.S - I am planning another giveaway soon!! Thank you to everyone joining me and everyone who's been with me! I love all of your blogs and comments so much.. if you wouldn't mind telling me what you would prefer in a giveaway, I am having a bit of a dilemma...
Indie Polish vs. Salon Brands?
I know indie polishes have been all the rage, they can be hard to come by vs. the salon brands that are easier to find for most - which makes them more appealing for a giveaway, however there is a lot of drama and quality control issues :( I would hate to give someone something that curls up and turns shitty in a month!! (this is why I don't buy too many myself) What would you prefer to see in a giveaway here? :)
thats a nice peachy color and it does look a whole lot like the orgasm lip gloss! (idk with the blush cause all i had was the lip gloss). im not so sure with the color though bec fall is usually a season for the darker ones to come out. but i do appreciate its dainty sheen :D
ReplyDeleteInteresting take on the indie polishes. I don't own very many and they are on the expensive side. With that said, I guess I would have to conclude; salon brand.
ReplyDeleteI've bought a few polishes I had doubts when I bought them and then they turned out to be winners too. Looks nice and soft.
What a pretty color! Looks great on you.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say I prefer salon brand... The reasons you mentioned are very good ones, plus I like to be able to go to a store and buy it if I see something I want... I usually skip over any nail blog posts featuring indie polishes b/c I know I'm not going to seek them out to buy them.
That said, I'll still want to enter the giveaway even if you decide to do indie brands! (Does that make me lazy? lol)
This is a very pretty color! I own a couple of NARS nail polishes and I like them very much, although I do agree that I wish they'd include a more "useable" brush option. Luckily, the formula makes up for it!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing, it reminds me of that NYC Sparkling Peach polish!! I know what you mean about the cap though, why did Nars have to be all difficult! I love both indie and salon brands and would enter either way!!
ReplyDeleteI have owned both versions of Orgasm blush, the lipstick and gloss but never the polish - thought it was too sheer - but seeing it here, liking it. The gold in it makes it almost worth the $ and dealing with that frigging ick cap like you said on Nars. I am more a fan of salon brands than Indies - I went for Indies at first then got frustrated with not being able to get ones I saw and also getting some I saw only to find ick formulas more than 50% of the time. Also so many indies are doing too many glitters. I don't need a zillion more glitters..I have a ton of 'em and don't wear them that much. Have to say even Cult Nails I have bought some that were biggie disappointments - not all but some. I find the polish shades I fall hardest for and keep the longest end up being salon ones.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing color!! So gorgeous! I don't have Orgasm, but I have Peach Sparkle. I can't wait to see the comparison! I love both indie/salon brands so whatever you choose is fine!
ReplyDeleteThis color is beyond gorgeous! I love the shimmer in it! Can't beat the name either;)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous color and it looks so good on you! I've been wanting this one for a long time, and just got it recently. Your swatches remind me that I need to wear it soon! :D

Very pretty shimmer! I am not a fan of those NARS caps, either, especially when they don't screw back on lined up with the bottle.
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing on you, Mel! I'm with you on the NARS caps - I wish they were removable. Some of the colors are worth the frustration though. :)
ReplyDeleteSince I avoid indies like the plague, here's another vote for salon brands.
Such a pretty color it is indeed an orgasm on the nails lol.
