A favorite mani + ** blingy international GIVEAWAY!**

Hi! Happy Sunday :) Hope everyone is hanging onto and enjoying the remainder of the weekend like me. Sorry the blog has been quiet, school sucks :p I am finding it extremely challenging with my old and tired brain. After this post I have to figure out how I am to learn 5 chapters of psych tonight AND not fail my math test tomorrow. crappity crap. Procrastinating life, lol. I hope to find a good balance here with the blog and do a lot more prepping/planning when I have free time so posting is easier. I am soo disorganized with posting so that doesn't help.

Anyway, I saw this mani on a friend and I just HAD to have it. I am not much for nail art (I love it, just horribly impatient/lack of talent..) so I love a fun top coat. $OPI's It's Real 18k gold tc is perfect. I love how delicate and teensy the flakes are. Seems like everyone has one out right now. (Zoya & O.P.I in the new bond collection) and I want them all... but this will probably remain my fav. Here is ONE coat over nails inc.'s Baker Street. (a layer of gelous was used before seche vite for glassiness)

NARS - Orgasm

Happy weekend all! Today I have the famous NARS Orgasm, a peachy pink w. golden shimmer. This one is really quite sheer, but I was happy with it in 4 coats. I get a bit angry with NARS for not having a removable cap.. (like Illa, butter LONDON, Chanel etc. that reveal nice round caps under the square) using the large square cap is pretty awkward! Luckily their formulas are generally very good. I thought this would be really unflattering on me, but it was actually very nice!

I picked up N.Y.C's Peach Sparkle recently, which is very close, not quite a dupe. I will do a comparison of these two v.soon!

:)

P.S - I am planning another giveaway soon!! Thank you to everyone joining me and everyone who's been with me! I love all of your blogs and comments so much.. if you wouldn't mind telling me what you would prefer in a giveaway, I am having a bit of a dilemma...

Indie Polish  vs. Salon Brands?

I know indie polishes have been all the rage, they can be hard to come by vs. the salon brands that are easier to find for most - which makes them more appealing for a giveaway, however there is a lot of drama and quality control issues :( I would hate to give someone something that curls up and turns shitty in a month!! (this is why I don't buy too many myself) What would you prefer to see in a giveaway here? :)

Layla Hologram Effect in Ultra Violet

Hi! Everyone have a fun weekend? I did! Met up with some of the girls from the nail board on MUA @ King of Prussia Mall and we had a blast! Did a bit of swapping and lots of shopping... my feet still hurt! If you're in the NJ/PA/DE area we're def going to do it again soon. If you're interested in joining us email me :)

Soo happy with the weather today - mid 70's & breezy. Will it be fall soon? I am hoping so. Here is a bold holo for summer though - Layla Ultra Violet. The first 2 pics are very representative of the lilac holo in sunlight.. the last 2 are pretty much my camera freaking out but they're cool. Right?

3 coats.

These were sold along with a buffer that I didn't buy. No problems applying with the use of NFU Oh's Aqua Base.. wouldn't try applying w.out one as it is definitely one of the fussier type of holos. No topcoat used so it was very dull and worn at the tips within a day.

O.P.I - Grape..Set..Match

Hi! Grape Set Match is one of my top purples. It's a gorgeous foil like polish with lots of fuchsia and blue flecks. It came in a Serena Williams Glam Slam duo with Servin Up Sparkle. I've worn it a few times, not sure why it took me so long to blog it but if you are a purple lover you need this one! Pictured here with 2 coats :

L'Oreal Brit Invasion

Happy Sunday! This L'Oreal is from their LE fall british collection. Couldn't resist it for some reason. At $6 a bottle for their polish I generally have no problem passing them up... there are so much better for less, or much better for a bit more. I lovee HE polishes, but $6 for a L'Oreal really pisses me off for some reason. I am getting a little worked up now.. hahaha.

It's a pretty mauvy taupe color with a strong golden shimmer. Formula and brush are terrible. The brush picks up way too much polish and it seems to immediately turn into a clumpy mess. Not fun. The color is really nice. I love the mauve and purple hints, but I wouldn't say worth it. Can anyone rec something similar with a nice formula?? I am drawing a blank on what is in this family!

@3 coats for smoothness.
