Illamasqua Faithful

 Hi! Happy Friday :) Today I have Illamasqua Faithful, a taupe-y brown with copper shimmer and micro flake bits (that my camera really did not pick up). Looks different in every light. I went nuts for this polish when it came out in the summer Naked Strangers collection, it's gorgeous! I feel like my Illas never get swatched for some reason which is sad because they're some of my favorites.  Formula is great, 2 easy coats.

Deborah Lippman for True Blood - Sookie Sookie set

Hi! Hope everyone had a nice weekend :) Today I have the Sookie Sookie set DL did for True Blood... I am a TB junkie so I had to have this (got the Let it Bleed set with the lipstick as well, but passed on the minis)! pic heavy post ahead.

Human Nature - a mortal putty taupe
Fairydust - ethereal shimmer

I really got this set for Fairydust - but Human Nature here turned out to be my favorite, it's an amazing neutral! 2 coats:

I'm not sure these two were meant to be layered together (Fairydust can be opaque on it's own!) but that is how I tried it, and I love them together. 1 coat of Fairydust here over Human Nature:

really gorgeous pink-golden duochrome shimmer, it has a nice wet look like a lip gloss.

L'Oreal Brit Invasion

 Happy Sunday! This L'Oreal is from their LE fall british collection. Couldn't resist it for some reason. At $6 a bottle for their polish I generally have no problem passing them up... there are so much better for less, or much better for a bit more. I lovee HE polishes, but $6 for a L'Oreal really pisses me off for some reason. I am getting a little worked up now.. hahaha.

 It's a pretty mauvy taupe color with a strong golden shimmer. Formula and brush are terrible. The brush picks up way too much polish and it seems to immediately turn into a clumpy mess. Not fun. The color is really nice. I love the mauve and purple hints, but I wouldn't say worth it. Can anyone rec something similar with a nice formula?? I am drawing a blank on what is in this family!

@3 coats for smoothness.

Chanel - Frenzy

 I've been on a real Chanel kick lately..not sure why, but I hope I get over it soon. I just want them all. I went so long resisting them..got one and it was all over!! Super collectible. Anyway, here is one of the new fall '12 shades, Frenzy. I would call it a taupe-y grey with lilacy pink and beige undertones, but that sounds like garbage. I do really love it though.

** did real blogger research Chanel calls it a lilac grey - hooray **

This was nice and opaque @ 2 coats. (and at $26 for a creme it better be, but I had my doubts that it would be)

and for fun... a pic of my new pals.

huggles. keep me off ebay!
