Illamasqua Faithful

Hi! Happy Friday :) Today I have Illamasqua Faithful, a taupe-y brown with copper shimmer and micro flake bits (that my camera really did not pick up). Looks different in every light. I went nuts for this polish when it came out in the summer Naked Strangers collection, it's gorgeous! I feel like my Illas never get swatched for some reason which is sad because they're some of my favorites.  Formula is great, 2 easy coats.

Essie Mirror Metallics - Blue Rhapsody & Penny Talk

Hi! Happy Monday. I am kind of excited to go to my college orientation today - going back to school after  about 6 yrs. Scary! I hope there are other big kids there.. haha. I thought about not going to one but I am far too disorganized to figure out where everything is myself. Taking 5 classes this semester so I better get in touch with that reality soon...

Anyway, I have two of the Essie Mirror Metallics to show you. My collection was seriously lacking some chrome. I found the formula to these to be pretty tricky to say the least. Penny Talk being the more difficult of the two.

The trick would be to NOT go over the same area twice and to let each layer dry. If you go back over it too soon it will completely drag off. (blehcrywhimper) They're quite thick so I would try to do it in one coat, but these are both 2 coats on most fingers. (The ones that looked decent enough at one I left alone!!)

I think they're great chromes and worth the effort! Though I'll prob let the next one sit in the untrieds for a while....

Essie No More Film + CND Copper Shimmer, Piu Mossoish

Hi! I tried to recreate one of my big lemmings here - RBL's Piu Mosso (which is coming back in november - yay) No More Film is  a deep blurple purple - it's really more purple. I was so excited - on my camera it actually looked like I got pics of it looking purple but when I uploaded the pics it is blueeeeee. Of course.

Here is 2 coats of it solo - it has a perfect creme formula, but don't be messy! or you will spend half your life cleaning up like me.

purplepurplepurple

more like that ^ ?

Okay so Piu Mosso is BLUE, but I tried this with No More Film's Essie sister Bobbing for Baubles which is actually a deep dusty navy but it just didn't look as nice..and once you get the copper shimmer over No More Film it looks blue...like my pics. sigh.

1 coat of copper shimmer

Way more of a tribute than a dupe...still will grab the real thing in the fall, but I love this combo! Obsessed with all things copper polish. Here are nailsandnom's swatches of the real beauty Piu Mosso

China Glaze - Harvest Moon

Hi! Happy past Tuesday workday! I barely made it, was nodding off at my desk all afternoon..perhaps tomorrow will be a more productive day. Perhaps not.

Today I have Harvest Moon from ChG's Hunger Games collection. This IMMEDIATELY went into my top 20, omg I love it! Copper foil perfection.

2 coats, in the shade.

sun.

Super adore this, I have a soft spot for foils but they do wear like garbage on me. I wore this for 2 days and no chips!
