NOTD post - China Glaze Luxe and Lush

I am generally on the fence about mylar flakies.. always a PiTA to apply, but I am loving this one today! (over black, with a good helping of gelous on top - awesome for smoothing out bumpy glitter)

Do you like mylar flakies?? I only have this one and I Lily Love You in my whole stash, hoping I can find SC Green Ocean since it should be out and about for St. Pattys day.

I actually swatched today! Usually I wear whatever I put on for at least a day for a full trial but I hate having so many untrieds, will take me forever to get through them this way!! This was one I tried out today - Hits Can Can, a purple jelly/syrup base with green to blue flashing flakies. It's the sister to Fox Trot that I am giving away currently. Pic heavy so I hope you like it!

this is 3 thick coats, and 1 layer of TC. i am really surprised that is all it needed,

these flakies are nice and tame!!

in the sun. you may want to layer these over a creme but i really love the syrupy look! these bottles are SMALL tho, only 6 mL

Macro! I was a little flake'd out but I think this polish reignited my love for them :)

Cult Nails - Iconic

Hi! Hope everyone is well tonight. I've got a Cult Nails post tonight - Iconic. This one I am kind of hot & cold on. It's total love in the bottle... a berry red shimmer w. flakies!! On the nail it's really gorgeous in most lighting situations, but not all. Looks kind of sloppy textured in some, IMO. That's kind of a weird description lol. I'm guessing that could have been solved with another layer of topcoat though.

Cult Nails is having a Sale this weekend!! I think I've bought enough polish lately but 2 for the price of 1? Not sure I can resist! Although I read Maria's blog post this morning @ work and I think I need to re-read it to see whats going on with it. (and then log out of blogger @ work.. hmm)

2 coats w.out enough topcoat :) the base color is soo one of my fav shades.

aaand bc it's so pretty in the bottle...

What do you think? Are you going to pick up any CN in the sale this weekend?

Cult Nails - Toxic Seaweed

Big sigh for Sunday night! Bummer. Oh well, how else will I buy all the polish if I don't go to work? Anyway, here's something that makes me feel a bit better... Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed. LOVE this. One of the many polishes I added to my collection this week haha. Couldn't wait to try it out though! It's fabulous. Formula was pretty nice, a bit thick but quite easy to work with. This is 3 fairly thick coats :

Look at those coppery flashing flakes! Love it.  Think I will pull it out again for St. Pats :)

A bit of VNL but I don't mind, taken in not so sunny weather. VNL more visible in direct sun.

What do you think of Toxic Seaweed? I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do but I still had to buy it, glad I did!! Highly recommend getting some Cult Nails shades if you haven't tried them yet :)
