Halloween Blood Spatter!
Hope everyone had a nice Halloween! I think perhaps most of us who dealt with Sandy this weekend were a little distracted..hope you all and your loved ones got through it OK. I did fine outside of the city (never lost power!!) but we were lucky.
Decided to do a blood spatter mani yesterday to be a little festive, I did the same thing last year and wearing it again made me realize how QUICKLY a year goes by. I'll be rocking this as long as it stays on.. makes me think of my favorite serial killer Dexter :)
used essie marshmallow and butter LONDON knees up, flash pic.

Nice - like it done with a red metallic vs all the creams and vampy cream reds I have seen this done with. I had a very quite Halloween - it was my b'day and not a good night to go out to dinner to celebrate at all - so hunkered down with some of the first of the fall fog and cooler weather that finally has hit (and I hope will stay now). Rushing around for next 2 days then maybe Sat night will finally get to celebrate my b'day.
ReplyDeleteOh - and how come my Essie marshmallow looks so sheer and yours (along with others) don't??? Do I have a bad bottle?
ReplyDeleteThanks!! I love Knees Up for it too.. the flash made it look a little pink but its really a deep blood color.
DeleteI love the fall too :) Happy belated birthday! Halloween bday, jealous!
and as for marshmallow - mine is pretty sheer but I find 3 thick coats makes it pretty opaque and even, still my favorite white jelly ever.
Ooh, pretty! I love the metallic red for this, it gives it a great texture! Awesome manicure.
ReplyDeletety! :) I wasn't going to post it but I never do nail art lol
DeleteI have yet to try a true splatter using straws. I got my straws ready but just haven't tried yet. This truly looks like blood.
ReplyDeleteLooks kind of like a murder scene! :D
ReplyDeleteWow, that looks so cool! The blood spatter came out great. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I love Knees Up. It's one of my favorite reds!
