Hi! I picked this up in the last big Zoya promo. Took about a month to arrive but worth the wait! Love the pixie dusts. I got half of the set now I need the rest :)

This is Chyna .. red sparkly gritty goodness. (actually not as gritty as I had hoped!) 3 Coats.

Chanel Malice

Hi! Happy Saturday :) I <3 Chanel Malice so much.. I reallyyy want another bottle of this but can't reason with a Chanel back up :( .. would be one of the few justified back ups I have though. I've banned myself from wearing it for now, as I've worn it 4 times already and want to keep putting it back on! If you like blackened reds there is no way to be disappointed with this. There are many similar polishes but I haven't seen any dupes in the many comparisons there are out there.

O.P.I The Man With The Golden Gun + China Glaze Red Satin

   Hi! Happy Tuesday :) Pic heavy post here... O.P.I The Man With The Golden Gun is the 18k gold flake topcoat from the Bond collection. I like it a lot but not nearly as much as the gold flake tc they did for sephora (here). The flakes are larger and not as easy to get onto the nail... not sure if there is too much suspension base or if they're all settled to the bottom though. The downside of the gorgeous GOLD bottle (which really may be the only reason I got it) is not being able to see what is going on in there.. lol!

 Layered here over China Glaze Red Satin. (roughly 3 coats on some nails.. I had to dab it on a bit)

and here is Red Satin (from the 2012 holiday collection) on it's own @ 3 coats for opacity, creme/jelly hybrid

Hits, Ares

  Hi! Happy Saturday :) Tonight I have some kind of sad photos of Hits Ares.. the holo just did not want to photograph, but also it didn't seem all that holo to begin with. Certainly not like some of the photos I've seen. I think I may have gotten a bum one! Still pretty though - and my only holo red! used 3 coats, it's kind of a jelly so it's a bit sheer.

Halloween Blood Spatter!

Hope everyone had a nice Halloween! I think perhaps most of us who dealt with Sandy this weekend were a little distracted..hope you all and your loved ones got through it OK. I did fine outside of the city (never lost power!!) but we were lucky.

    Decided to do a blood spatter mani yesterday to be a little festive, I did the same thing last year and wearing it again made me realize how QUICKLY a year goes by. I'll be rocking this as long as it stays on.. makes me think of my favorite serial killer Dexter :)

Sephora by O.P.I Ruby Without a Cause

New $OPI's keep finding their way into my stash, this is one of them. Ruby Without a Cause is a new red - purple red shifting duochome. The bottle has a lot of teal but I caught none of that on my nails...

here is 2 coats,

look at that mega blue swirling in the bottle! I was expecting it on my nails so I was pretty disappoint. Still pretty though.

Essie Jelly Apple

Hi! Happy Sunday evening.. enjoying mine, Dexter and Homeland soon..and then Monday & Tuesday no classes. So far all I have to show for my weekend is some new swatches :) Wore Jelly Apple for the first time last week..HATE myself for having this on my untrieds for a year ++ ?! It's an awesome blue leaning bright RED jelly. I believe it is part of the core collection and ETF, if you don't have it. (Should be on larger retail displays) Shown here @ 2 coats..

Butter London Knees Up + 24hr sale!!

 I've been wearing so many pinks & reds lately..it's true. Can't get off them. This BL is one of my absolute favorites. Knees Up is a very glowy metallic red. Pictured here w. 2 coats.

Also there is a saleee going on tomorrow. Any 3 BL's for $30 w. the code CHAMPION. I may use it to pick up some of the new ones.. dying for Scouse! butter LONDON

Color Club - Bomb-Blast-ic

  I've been on a hunt for a real NEON red... they're all pink though! When I saw this the other day at rite aid I thought it had some real potential to be actually red. It was crackle, but I will take it how I can get it! Also, my huge stash of 1 color club was begging for a buddy. Anyway, when I first applied it inside it really just looked hot pink again. When I got it outside in the sun though, it was actually red! At long last. It still has more of a twinge of hot pink than my pictures suggest but it IS red..party time.

I still enjoy some crack now and again too..why not? Here it is over Essie Marshmallow :

Zoya Sooki + Sticks N Stones (and pocketchange feature!)

 Hi! Happy Sunday :) Before I post my mani I wanted to share a link, my blog was recently featured on Pocketchange's Best of the Web series. Onto the polish - today I have Zoya Sooki. Sooki is an awesome bright cherry red. Totally neutral and would look great on anyone.

My nails are reallyyy growing quickly.. this was like 2 weeks ago! They're much longer atm. I believe in biotin! Anyway, I had to slap some Sticks N Stones on. The formula seems to really vary with SnS.. I got an awful thick goopy bottle of it. I thinned it a bunch and it still just is a giant bottle of glob. Mine also lacks the large hex glitter :( Still is adorable though!

and just to complain again.. those paper labels are terrible!! ruined it when I was dripping thinner in the bottle. If you haven't ruined your ninja polish labels yet I recommend laminating them with some tape asap! I was too late :(

Essie - Swing Velvet

Hi! This is an oldie, not sure when it came out but I think much earlier last decade from what I can see. Still, had never seen it before. I would call it a metallic-y plummy red. In low light it really just looks like a burgundy wine color.. but when you get it in the sun you can really see its gorgeous purpley flash. It really does look like velvet! My camera just failed to pick that up. On me, this is definitely one of the most flattering shades I own so I love it intensely!

3 coats, 2 was probably fine though!

Deborah Lippmann - Just Walk Away Renee

Hi! Today I have my favorite vamp red... DL's Just Walk Away Renee. It's like vamp syrup! Totally gorgeous. Application is a bit tricky, it's a good combo of sheer and uber pigmented haha. 3 coats still show bald spots, but perhaps just my crap application. I think they add something to the look though...?

The rumpled ring finger also adds to the beauty, right?

This DL is certainly one that is worth the $ IMO. Wears like iron as well. I love many Lippmanns but just cant indulge in them often. Currently waffling on Mermaid's Dream!!

China Glaze Ruby Pumps Vday mani

Hi! Happy Valentines to all :) Not really a day I ever get too excited about... just kinda meh about it! Always have been - single or not single, but it's a cute day and I still love to do little things for the ones I love.

I did attempt to do a Vday mani of sorts (not really) here is Ruby Pumps with a nude (Essie Brooch the Subject) ruby tipped accent.

mmeh.. looks cuter in person from the appropriate distance LOL

but yes you are still beautiful Ruby Pumps!!!
