Essie - Action

  Hi! Hope everyone had a nice weekend! Apologies if you're burnt out on neons...bc here is more neon! Well.. sorta neon. This is Essie Action from the summer 2012 Poppy-Razzi collection. It's a light yellowy neon jelly orange. Formula is nice but... this is 5 coats and not opaque. I am okay with that because I like the color. Definitely dries darker and more vibrant than it appears in the bottle!

ChG Beach Cruise-r + Flirty Tankini

Hi! I have some more of the ChG summer neons swatched, first I will show you Beach Cruise-r.... really love this one! Perfect purple neon. I think mine might be a dud shimmer wise? It was darn near invisible. I actually picked this one up thinking it was Under the Boardwalk but I am happy I got the wrong one! Formula on this was the best I've tried of these neons. Not as thick & very easy to work with.

  Now Flirty Tankini, adore this one as well but OMG do I hate the name. It's a really gorgeous coral pink neon w. shimmer. This is the only pink I got but those pinks in this collection are really impressive... might need a few more. This did stain a bit on removal but the stains were gone pretty fast. I'll wear it again anyway!

3 coats..no hidden shimmer here!

Color Club - Bomb-Blast-ic

  I've been on a hunt for a real NEON red... they're all pink though! When I saw this the other day at rite aid I thought it had some real potential to be actually red. It was crackle, but I will take it how I can get it! Also, my huge stash of 1 color club was begging for a buddy. Anyway, when I first applied it inside it really just looked hot pink again. When I got it outside in the sun though, it was actually red! At long last. It still has more of a twinge of hot pink than my pictures suggest but it IS red..party time.

I still enjoy some crack now and again too..why not? Here it is over Essie Marshmallow :

ORLY - Glowstick

Addicted to neons right now! Glowstick is an awesome Hi-lighter yellow jelly. SOO super neon. I recommend getting this under some florescent lights. I had this on at walmart and I about died when I saw it. Insanely bright. I am not one to put a white under my neons but this might be one that needs it. The pictures are @ 4 thick coats and my uneven nail beds are very noticeable.  ;)

China Glaze - I'm With the Lifeguard

Hi! Happy weekend! I was out of the area and ran into a Sally's I hadn't stalked visited yet, thought I would see if they had the ChG neon's out since my Sally's is worthless. They didn't have them out but one of the SA's offered to get them out of the back for me. Win! I didn't even ask. I picked this up along with a few others. The SA asked me if I knew the girl who always has her go back there to look for the new collections...and how did we know about this stuff? Instead of explaining I just told her I was psycho and to tell the other girl I want to be her friend. Haha. I need a polish crazy friend to shop with!

Anyway, I'm With the Lifeguard is a blazing neon lime green w. shimmer! LOVE it. Makes me think about those lime ice pops that give you mouth paper cuts..mm, summer. Formula is thickk but easy enough to work with, may thin it out a bit.

nails inc. - Portobello

Hi! Happy Saturday! I have a nice bright jelly post today :) nails inc. Portobello! A yummy coral-orange. I think I need a few more of these jelly neon shades. The formula was flawless and it's so bright & juicy. My camera tamed it down a bit, not sure why. Usually it makes neons unphotographable! Anyway IRL, it's more pink and brighter!

3 coats, still some VNL

BarryM - Neon Yellow

Hi! I'm addicted to neons right now.. it's going to be a bright ass summer! This is the first one I tried out this year and it's freakin fantastic. I'm not sure this one is quite neon but it's a bit brighter than pics show! It also has a lovely subtle-but not invisible shimmer to it. I love what I've tried from BarryM so far, this had an amazing formula. A bit sheer but bright colors like this tend to be.

4 thin coats to cover up VNL. No issues w. dry time tho!

China Glaze ~ Flip Flop Fantasy.

I don't really follow the 'seasonal' rules with colors, but I do for some reason feel strange wearing neons any other time but summer..so I thought I would swatch this while it's still hot! Unfortunately neons hate cameras. This was the only pic that the glow wasn't insane and it's not very color accurate. FFF is more orangey/coral than hot pink!

I always want to not use a top coat with neons as they dry a lovely matte, but always need to to smooth out imperfections.. bummer!
