Chanel - Vertigo

  Hi! Very happy to be doing a blog post. Made it through my first week of classes and it was rough! Much rougher than expected. I expect I will settle into some sort of routine soon enough...no? Maybe not. I have 5 classes with all pretty intense syllabi. Really mad that the one elective I took for enjoyment seems to be one of the more intense with papers and assignments... fail.

 Anyway, Chanel Vertigo from the fall '12 collection is a gorgeous charcoal grey shade. I definitely saw some purple undertones on it. There's also a red shimmer in the bottle, that you will only see there. It does NOT translate on the nail unless you catch some SUPER sunlight, which I did for these pictures (as well as my camera really picked it up) I know you can barely see it in my pics anyway, but trust me that it is exaggerated. Kind of sad, but if you just look forward to it for it being a gorgeous grey creme you won't be disappointed.

Rescue Beauty Lounge - Aqua Lily

Finally tried one of my RBL's! Aqua Lily from the fan collection. It's a gorgeous turquoise w. subtle pink shimmer. I did not find that it was invisible, but definitely a hidden shimmer. In the sun I had no problems seeing it. In dim light I could still see it but it appeared more like a pretty pink sheen, if that makes sense. Loved it in all lighting though :) Worth $20? Idk, I feel I have similar shades (Jesse's Girl Mermaid's Lagoon & ChG Custom Kicks come to mind.. neither are dupes though!) but I am happy I got this. The formula & wear are very nice.  *It IS coming back I've read!*

PS. Thoughts on the new collection? I'm surprised to see a pretty cold response to it in general. I really like it.. though with the price hike (why?) & outrageous shipping I'm still debating if I will order any. 

Essie - Demure Vixen

Hi! Happy Friday! I've been jobless for a whole week.. feels like 3 weeks. Not complaining, got a lot of things done. Finally got the A/C fixed today so I'm ready for summer. Not my wallet though. Turns out my unit was just clogged from using filters that were too small.. $500 mistake! Aughh! Well turns out it was a fire hazard, so I'm happy to not be going up in flames at least. I worry about if there's ever a fire near my helmer.. the whole block will explode!! lol

Anyway, I've been wearing a lot of brights lately. A palette cleanser was in order. Demure Vixen is a great one.  A very light mauve-y pink w. a flash of violet shimmer. Loved this for work as well.

nOPI - Back to Reality... TV

Hi! Is tomorrow Thursday already? Nice! Hope everyone is well tonight! I have one of the new Kardashian colors (kolors?) from their line with nOPI to show you. Back to Reality...TV. Love this! It's a purple-y periwinkle with a pink shimmer running through it. The shimmer isn't too hidden, and the formula is great.. so this is a favorite of mine!

O.P.I - Gouda Gouda Two Shoes

Hi! Woo.. just about Monday. Let's all hope the work week goes by quickly :) I am on a MAJOR O.P.I kick right now. Probably because I have a lot of untrieds from them, they just keep finding their way home with me..

Here's a pretty one from the new Holland collex - (in case I haven't mentioned it enough - holland polishes in my GIVEAWAY, ending Wednesday night! I think.. better go look so I am not late in drawing the winner lol) Gouda Gouda Two Shoes! She's pretty, a nice dusty rose with subtle color shifting shimmer. I am just a sucker for these shades, very flattering and work appropriate. I say that but I wear many polishes to work I probably shouldn't and will continue to til someone says something... ;)

Back to blogging -- Essie Armed and Ready

Hi!  I got a little sad about never having the opportunity to take pictures in the sun once winter came around and all my sun hours are spent at work.. but then I discovered the flash on my phone so I am back :) Okay.. MOSTLY I am just lazy...but I am anxious to get back in touch with Blogger and will be visiting all you wonderful ladies soon.

For my comeback swatch I decided to post Essie Armed and Ready... it's from the new 2012 Go Overboard trio, I picked this & Go Overboard up, didn't think I needed Play Date. OH BUT I DO and I am going to pick that one up this weekend.

A really nice greyed out green with a golden bronzey flash!! NEED ALL THE HIDDEN SHIMMERS. Unfortunately the flash lies here and the shimmer is quite hidden, but it's so pretty when it comes out to play!
