China Glaze - Exotic Encounters and a comparison

Hi! Happy Saturday! I have Exotic Encounters from the On Safari collection. A dusky teal creme. The formula was really nice and smooth, not too thick like some of their other recent polishes. I couldn't resist this one even though I was pretty sure I had something very similar... surprisingly, I do not.

I've seen a few people asking on the nail board if it was close to O.P.I Jade is The New Black, did a little comparison for myself. They're quite different, but in case you were wondering...

Cult Nails Awakening + O.P.I Crown Me Already!

Hi! Happy almost Friday! Today I have a jelly sammie I did with Awakening & Crown Me Already. LOVE the result. Awakening is a polish I've used a lot, it's a perfect dusty teal jelly. Mostly I love using it for jelly sams. I love using holos and shimmers in between layers too.. if you have this one try it. If you don't... order it!

2 coats on its own

and with CMA! :

Lots of pics! I had a hard time choosing... usually it's easy because most of them are crap ;)

Zoya - Zuza

Was most excited to try this one out of all the Zoyas I got in my last haul. It's stunning! I would call the color a pretty green leaning teal but Zoya calls it a turquoise. Either way, it's packed with shimmer and it's awesome. My formula was a bit goopy and weird, but no application problems.

Do you know anyone named Zuza?

Hope you're all having a nice week! Just 3 more days left at my job - so I'm going to refrain from complaining about it!! :)

Nails Inc. - Kensington

Happy justabout Tuesday! Kensington is a beautiful deeply blackened teal. I would call it forest green but it has some blue. It's also one of those lovely creme/jelly finishes I love! Definitely a 1 coater - unless you start doing the dishes 15 minutes later. Oops. Some of my nails have 2 coats.. :) This came in the Wyndham Duo with a blue-green flashing flakie (was my first flakie!) that I forgot to photograph before removing it..lol

i guess i could have pretended the 2 coats vs 1 coat was intentional..

you can definitely tell this is teal on the nail in most lighting even though it's v. dark

Currently REALLY loving nails inc. What are your favorites from them??

A England - St. George

Happy Friday!! Super excited about this weekend, going to buy a Dyson Animal tomorrow! Perhaps a lame thing to be jazzed up about.. but I am going to do THIS forever and it's going to be awesome. Also awesome, A England's St. George. A perfect deep teal scattered holo. It's gorgeous.. and a wonderful 1 coat formula! Of course I used 2 though, that is my thing. A bit picture heavy - enjoy!

China Glaze - Smoke and Ashes

Happy weekend all! I know I am happy.. happy happy happy. Happy to post Smoke and Ashes too! I think this is my most wanted from the Hunger Games collection. I will say, these pics do it no justice whatsoever. It's stunning in person! The perfect black with something extra. I'm not 100% sure it's even black.. it really looks like a very (very) blackened teal base, it's a 1 coater so I will never know I guess!

I promise it has much more depth than pictures show...but here they are anyway!

2 coats because I don't have it in me to do less than 2.

A bit better but it has soo much shimmer!

I've only picked up this & Luxe and Lush so far. Going to need a couple more but in general, not my favorite China Glaze collection. I'd love to hear what you guys picked up!

CQ ~ Corduroy

Hi guys! The weather is really crazy, hoping everyone in Irene's path is prepared. *clutches NP stash* I am frightened about the flooding on Sunday.. have a job interview at 9am sharp on Monday, haha! Anyway, earthquakes and hurricaines aside.. today I have a pretty teal I picked up at Rite Aid, which is the only place I've seen this brand. I really like this shade a lot, enough to try out some other CQ's. Formula was nice, this is 2 semi thick coats :) It's definitely a dustier teal in person but this was the best my camera could do!

PS ~ Who says ChG fast forward is not shiny?! :)

=)
